I have been using an electric car for about two months now and am very happy with my decision to switch from an ICE vehicle. In Jakarta, I have had no issues with daily use, as charging stations are conveniently spread throughout the city, including in rest areas (fast charging) and malls (slow and medium charging, with a slightly higher cost per kWh).

For road trips, the PLN application has been incredibly helpful. It shows the location and availability of charging stations along toll roads and offers easy payment options through digital platforms such as OVO. Additionally, PLN provides 24-hour charging stations at their head office in Solo, and I assume this is the case in other cities as well.

However, there are areas that need improvement. Some charging stations listed as available in the PLN app do not work. Also, the refund process from the PLN wallet to a bank account takes too long; it took two days in my case. I hope that in the future, refunds can be processed more quickly through digital payment methods.
